Why I Draw Hockey Players

Hockey was always playing in my house growing up. Saturday nights were sacred — my family parked in front of the TV and didn't move until the final buzzer. The speed, the grit, the emotion on the players' faces — that's what stuck with me.

When I started drawing seriously, I kept coming back to those faces. Gallagher getting crosschecked and grinning about it. Fleury's golden smile after a big save. Roy staring down the opposing bench. These guys feel something, and I wanted to capture that energy.

Stickers were the perfect medium. They're bold, they're punchy, they go everywhere. You can slap one on your laptop, your water bottle, your car — it's like carrying a piece of that hockey energy with you. I use thick outlines, high contrast, and exaggerated expressions to make every sticker hit as hard as a Gallagher forecheck.

This isn't going away. Hockey players will always be at the heart of what I create. The plan is to keep expanding — more legends, more current stars, and maybe some deep cuts that only real fans will recognize.
